'Archangel's Lullaby' was composed as a congratulation present sent to Steven and Pauline Isserlis on the birth of their son Gabriel. The solo part (cello I) was intended for a young cellist and at the first performance was played delightfully by Simon Wallfisch, then aged 7. 


28th April 2013 Benedict Kloeckner and two principal cellists of the Berlin Kammerorchester, Konzerthaus Berlin

Played following a standup ovation for Benedict's performance of 'Diversions for cello and string orchestra' which was conducted by Jorde Benacer
